Little Cayman - Jan - 2027
The Cayman Islands are located 150 miles south of Cuba in the Caribbean Sea, 170 miles northeast of Jamaica and 480 miles south of Miami. All three islands are low lying and are composed of limestone and consolidated coral, an outcropping of the Cayman Ridge, a submerged mountain range that extends west from the Sierra Maestra in Cuba. The Cayman Trench, the deepest part of the Caribbean at a depth of over four miles, separates the three small islands from Jamaica.
The ‘Sister Islands’ of Little Cayman and Cayman Brac are located about 90 miles northeast of Grand Cayman. Little Cayman Beach Resort is situated on a private beach on the south shore of Little Cayman, bordered by the South Hole Sound, a turquoise lagoon protected by the reef.

The island’s 150 residents (when everyone’s home) happily welcome you to their serene and safe island. Little Cayman Beach Resort’s Beach Nuts Bar is the island hot spot, especially on karaoke night. If you’re more into peace and quiet, then your idea of island Zen might be enjoying a drink with someone special in a secluded niche on the property or lying in hammock on the beach to count stars in the clear night sky.
You can leave your hurry behind, because you’ll be on Little Cayman Island time. In addition to world-class diving, you can rent a kayak and visit nearby Owen’s Island for some snorkeling; tour the Central Caribbean Marine Institute and learn how they’re studying and saving reefs; grab a bike and go exploring; or just read a book in the shade of the palm trees that surround our pool and beach.
In early 2009, the resort completed major room renovations to this popular dive resort. Guestroom upgrades include new furnishings inspired by tropical colors and textures, Caribbean themed artwork, newly decorated bathrooms, fixtures and flooring. These new surroundings have captured the warmth and beauty of Little Cayman. There are a total of 40 air-conditioned, spacious rooms situated in two-story ‘palm-tree height’ buildings and surrounded by lush tropical foliage. 28 Poolview Rooms encircle the pool and lush, tropical courtyard.
Our own Reef Divers provide the personalized valet dive services that many of our guests don’t even know they want until they experience it. Reef Divers takes the work out of your diving, handling the heavy lifting and care of your boat-dive gear, from your first dive with us through your last dive (unless you’d prefer to do it yourself). We rinse, dry, and store your BCD and regulator daily, so they’re set up and ready for your next day’s diving. The only finger you’ll have to lift is the one to point out your gear as you relax in the boat, ready to go diving.
The Cayman Islands have strict Marine Conservation Laws and many of our 57 dive sites are within protected Marine Park Zones, including the legendary Bloody Bay Wall – Little Cayman’s most famous dive attraction. Coral canyons and sand chutes lead you through the pristine deep blue waters of the outer reef before plunging to 6000ft (1800m). These exhilarating walls are covered with brightly hued sponges, corals and sea fans.
The 80° F (26.6°C) water is second to none when it comes to clarity and it is said that more underwater photographs are taken in the Cayman Islands than in all other Caribbean destinations. The Caymans’ trademark turtles are a common sight and eagle rays, angelfish, reef sharks and grouper count among the 500 species of fish that have been documented here. From Phillipe Cousteau to David Doubliet, just about every diver who have experienced its reefs has stated that Little Cayman is one of the world’s premier dive destinations – with pristine reefs, excellent visibility and incredible diving.
